Centennial Cinema Series - Toy Story 4
Lake Raleigh - Sept 20th from 6:00 - 9:30pm
Miss the latest Pixar hit? Visit Centennial, Alamo Drafthouse, and the NC State Libraries have combined forces to bring free movies outdoors! Bring a non-perishable food item for donation but the rest is free. Grab your picnic blanket and basket and enjoy a Toy Story 4 at sunset!
NC Museum of Natural Sciences - Sept 21st from 9:00am to 7:00pm
Love bugs? Then you must check this event out. They’ll have 100+ exhibits, games, and activities designed to get you up close and personal with the insects! This year they are celebrating the beetle!
Brier Creek Food Truck Festival
Brier Creek Corporate Center - Sept 21st from 11:00 to 3:00pm
Music, food, and drinks… what more could you want? The event will feature 30+ local favorites slinging their best dishes.
Downtown Raleigh - Sept 24th at 6:00pm to 28th at 2:00pm
This massive festival of bluegrass music has tons of free shows, a barbecue contest, tons of food and drink vendors, and more! Starting this year, some of the shows are free to the public! Be sure to check out the lineup here.
Duke Gardens - Sept 28th from 8:00 to 12:00pm
Looking to redo your garden for fall? You must head to Duke Gardens for their annual plant sale. Members of the Gardens receive an advanced list of sale and can purchase on the friday before. Plan ahead!
Lafayette Village Raleigh - Sept 28th from 12:00 - 5:00pm
Fall means the beginning of Okberfests! With 20 fall style beers and food, you’ll be sure to find something you like. The one thing you’ll have to check out is the Annual Wiener Dog Races (at 12:30, 2:00, & 3:00pm).
Starrlight Mead in Pittsboro - Sept 28th from 12:00 to 5:00pm
Beer not your thing? Join the fine brewers at Starrlight Mead for a celebration of what they do best. The event is a miniature Rennaissance faire! Grab a turkey leg and watch some sword fighting!
Booth Amphitheater - Sept 28th from 11:00 - 6:00pm
With dozens of dragon boat races, this celebration of Asian culture will amaze you. They’ll have tons of performances, games, food vendors, and more!
Museum of Life and Science - Sept 29th from 10:00 to 3:00 pm
Have a little one who loves making a mess? Well this event is for them! The museum will have several stations set up to allow your little ones to get their hands dirty. Also, they’ll have washing stations and extra changing areas.
