October is here bringing the changing of the leaves, pumpkin spice, and some unseasonal warmth! The weather should cool off enough so that everyone can get out and enjoy these awesome events for the 1st half of October across the triangle. Click the title of the event to get more information!
Downtown Raleigh - Oct 4th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm
Walk downtown to see free public art and special events from all of the great vendors, galleries, and studios. Presented by the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and First Friday!
Bicenntenial Plaza in Raleigh - Oct 5th from 11 am - 5:30 pm
Here is your chance to get authentic chinese cuisine at its best! They will have performances for all to enjoy. You’ll be able to find goods for sale but the event is free and open to the public
2nd Annual Raleigh Festa Italiana
Lucky B’s - Oct 5th from 12 pm - 8 pm
Maybe Italian is more your speed? Check out the Festa Italiana! They’ll have over 20 food vendors on hand and tons of entertainment. The event celebrates italian culture but also supports Spare Some for Autism and Military Missions in Action.
Fred G. Bond Park in Cary - Oct 5th from 10 am - 2 pm
Looking for something for you and your dog to enjoy? Grab their leash and head to Cary Dog Days! There will be a bunch of things for you and your pup to enjoy. Who knows, you might just adopt another one from one of the local shelters in attendance.
Booth Amphitheater - Oct 11th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Deck out your bike in lights for this night bike ride & parade. The event coordinators are running a 1.3 mile course and a 6 mile course. You might even get a glimpse of the Cary Diwali Festival rehearsing. Rides start around 7pm.
Johnson County Airport - Oct 12 from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
A festival of professional aerial demonstrations. There will be a little something for everyone, including live music and a kids zone, but the main focus will be the parachuters and skydivers above!
Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park - Oct 12th from 12 pm - 6 pm
One ticket gets you all you can care to sample drinks from over 70+ statewide breweries. They’ll also have food stands and music to keep you entertained throughout the day. Get your tickets in advance!
Raleigh Roots History Festival
Moore Square - Oct 12th from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Want to learn more about Raleigh’s history? Check this event out! The City of Raleigh will have living history events, games, and carriage rides. It is a free celebration so don’t miss it!
Chatham Hill Winery - Oct 13th from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
If you are curious about fermented foods, this is the event for you! Cooks will be giving live demonstrations on how to ferment foods--yogurt, kimchi, kombucha, and more--and then let people take their fermented foods home. There will also be workshops and vendors who need their fermented foods now.
