There’s something about finding a great local coffee shop that just makes a town feel like home. Whether you’re meeting a friend, catching up on work, escaping the chaos for an hour, or just chasing a really good latte, the Triangle has no shortage of cozy spots worth visiting.

At The Cynthia Quarantello Realty Group, we spend a lot of time all over Cary, Apex, and Holly Springs helping buyers and sellers navigate the market and honestly, some of our best conversations happen over coffee. One of the things we love most about living and working in the Triangle is how every town has its own personality, local favorites, and sense of community.

If you’re new to the area or just looking for a new spot to try, these are three local coffee shops we genuinely love.

☕ Esteamed Coffee – Cary
If you haven’t been to Esteamed Coffee in Cary yet, put it on your list immediately. Not only is the coffee fantastic, but the mission behind the shop makes it even more special. Esteamed Coffee creates meaningful employment opportunities for adults with intellectual, developmental, communication, and/or visual disabilities, and the atmosphere inside is one of the happiest places you’ll walk into.

The coffee is great, the staff is incredibly kind, and the space feels welcoming the second you walk through the door. It’s the kind of place that instantly improves your mood. Their seasonal drinks are always fun, and if you need a quiet spot to work or meet someone, this is a perfect choice.

Bonus points for being close to Downtown Cary Park, which makes it easy to turn your coffee run into a full morning outing. We’ve definitely had a few client meetings nearby after grabbing coffee here.

☕ Common Grounds Coffee House & Desserts – Apex
Downtown Apex already has so much charm, and Common Grounds fits right into that small town, walkable vibe everyone loves. This place feels cozy in the best way. Think comfy chairs, local conversation, students studying, moms catching up, and people walking Main Street with coffee in hand.

Their coffee menu is solid, but the desserts are what really make this spot dangerous. If you go once, there’s a good chance you’ll start making excuses to go back for another pastry or slice of cake.

One of our favorite things about Common Grounds is that it feels truly local. It’s not rushed or overly polished. It’s the kind of coffee shop where you actually want to sit and stay awhile. Grab a drink, walk Downtown Apex, browse the local shops, and make an afternoon out of it.

☕ Cultivate Coffee Roasters – Holly Springs
Cultivate has become a go to coffee spot in Holly Springs for good reason. The coffee is consistently good, the space is modern and inviting, and it has that perfect balance of trendy without trying too hard.

If you work remotely, this is one of those places where you’ll probably run into half the town on laptops during the week. The seating is great, the natural light is amazing, and the overall vibe feels relaxed and community driven.

Their espresso drinks are excellent, and they roast their own coffee which coffee lovers definitely appreciate. If you’re more of an iced coffee person year round like many of us in North Carolina, their cold brew is worth trying.

Holly Springs continues to grow quickly, but places like Cultivate help keep that strong community feel people are looking for when they move here.

Why We Love Highlighting Local Spots
At The Cynthia Quarantello Realty Group, real estate has never just been about houses for us. It’s about helping people find communities where they truly feel at home. The local coffee shops, restaurants, parks, greenways, and small businesses are what make Cary, Apex, and Holly Springs such amazing places to live.

When we help buyers relocate to the Triangle, these are exactly the kinds of places we love sharing because they help people experience the personality of each town beyond just the neighborhoods.

So whether you’re house hunting, new to the area, or simply looking for a new favorite latte spot, we highly recommend checking these out.

And if you see one of us working from a corner table with a laptop and coffee in hand… come say hi.
